My name is Mengualp, I am passionate about cyber securty systems. Currently, I am employed as a Cyber Security Engineer at IBM.com. Before joining IBM, I was managing highly-scaled geo-distributed Kafka cluster at Criteo. I graduated with a PhD from Performance Engineering Lab in University College Dublin . My research interests include state-of-art data-intensive (i.e. `big data`) with the focus on fault-tolerance, scalability and performance. During my PhD, I studied replication management problem in the context of storage layer for large-scale data-intensive systems (particularly HDFS), in collabration with IBM Research Ireland. Orginally, I graduated from mathematical engineering at Yildiz Technical University with honour. So, I am a computer enthusiast with strong applied mathematics background. Please feel free to refer me as Mengüalp (he/him).
